About Us

First Hotel Brommaplan, formerly Flyghotellet, is a three-star, privately owned hotel with 68 rooms and a perfect location just 200 meters from Brommaplan subway station.

We are a personal hotel with close guest contact and a strong focus on quality, service, and development. Since we took over the business in 2016, we have gradually improved and modernized the hotel – and in 2018 we proudly won the Franchise Hotel of the Year award within our hotel chain.

We are now looking for a part-time handyman who wants to help ensure that our environment remains well-maintained, pleasant, and safe – for both guests and colleagues.

About the Position

The position comprises about 30%, with working hours on weekdays.

You will plan and carry out the work independently in consultation with the hotel manager. This role suits you if you enjoy order, appreciate variety, and want a flexible setup.

Responsibilities

As a handyman, you are an important part of the operation and the hotel’s daily overall impression.

Your tasks may vary from day to day but include:

• Addressing reported issues and ongoing maintenance
• Minor repairs and corrective maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
• Ongoing supervision of hotel rooms, corridors, and common areas
• Painting, assembling, and replacing moldings, fittings, doors, or lamps
• Organizing and structuring storage and back areas
• Assisting with deliveries and simpler logistics tasks
• Planned maintenance in consultation with the hotel manager
• Conducting SBA rounds (systematic fire protection work)
• Ensuring that fire protection routines are followed and that equipment functions as planned

We are looking for someone who

• Is meticulous, responsible, and practical
• Has experience in craftsmanship, construction, property maintenance, or similar
• Is self-driven, sees what needs to be done, and takes initiative
• Has an eye for detail and thrives in an environment where quality and safety are prioritized
• Is positive, helpful, and contributes to a good atmosphere in the team

You do not need to be a trained craftsman – the most important thing is that you are handy, solution-oriented, and want to do a good job.

Experience with SBA rounds or fire protection work is an advantage, but you will of course receive training with us.
